There's no tree in the living room, but today might as well be Christmas: NCAA Football 2011 is now in stores. Anyone wanna lend me 60 bucks?
- Ubaldo Jiminez and David Price were named the starting pitchers in tonight's All-Star Game. I'd love to see both guys get more than just an inning or two, especially since I think we won't see too much offense early in the game.
- Busted Coverage seems to think that the ESPN torch has been passed from Erin Andrews to Jenn Brown. Considering Brown got an offer to pose in SI's 2011 swimsuit issue, I would have to agree.

- Pension Plan Puppets, an awesome Toronto Maple Leafs site you should bookmark, compared NHL commissioner Gary Bettman's salary to the other commissioners of the four big sports in the U.S. $7.5 million doesn't seem like so much anymore.
- I don't think the words "recruiting violations" and "Facebook" belong in the same sentence. Unfortunately for Florida, the NCAA disagrees.
- Remember that ridiculous letter Cavs owner Dan Gilbert wrote about LeBron? The NBA has slapped him with a $100,000 fine because of it. Hey, it's only 0.1% of what he would have had to pay LeBron. What a bargain.
- If today's links go up later than usual (and they probably will), it's because I'm tasing the shit out of people in the online Phillies Taser Game. [via Hot Clicks]
- Happy Birthday to Nightmare on Helm Street; they're hitting the big 1st year anniversary today. Drew and Chris have done a hell of a job in the last year making NOHS one of the go-to sites for all things Red Wings.
- The Lions and backup QB Shaun Hill have agreed to a one-year contract extension. Hill was a great pickup for the team after starting in San Francisco. Hopefully he'll be a better mentor to Matthew Stafford than Daunte Culpepper ever was.
Today's random video and highlight after the jump...
