Pierre McGuire Proposes to Sidney Crosby

Its official, Pierre McGuire of NHL on NBC has officially asked Sidney Crosby to marry him. Over the course of the last 2 games, Pierre has been quite obvious about his affection for the young Canadian and the rest of the Penguins (whom he was an assistant coach for in the early 90’s). On many occasions during the Stanley Cup finals, Pierre has spoken solely about Crosby and completely forgotten to mention the guy on the other team who has been playing so well (cough cough Zetterberg).

 

He has also gone on air and blamed Pittsburgh losses purely on “bad luck” bounces. Now yes I will admit that there have been some fortunate bounces the Red Wings way, but the fact of the matter is that good players create their own good luck.

 

As Thomas Jefferson once said, “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work the more I have of it”. This quote is so perfect for the situation because even though Pierre may think its “bad luck” that has given the Penguins a 2-0 hole to dig out of, maybe its actually the Red Wings creating opportunities for themselves and working harder to create those fortuitous bounces. So I ask you Pierre…on your honeymoon with Sidney Crosby, will you be pitching or catching??
